Hormel Foods Honors EVAPCO with Spirit of Excellence Award

EVAPCO, Inc. was recently honored with a Spirit of Excellence Award from Hormel Foods Corporation for EVAPCO’s exceptional service to Hormel in 2014. Jim Schroeder, Vice President of Engineering, Hormel, presented EVAPCO Inc. President and CEO Bill Bartley with a commemorative plaque and letter at EVAPCO’s headquarters in Taneytown, MD on September 11, 2015.

One of 68 Hormel suppliers recognized in 2014, this is the first year that EVAPCO has participated in the Spirit of Excellence Awards program.

“The Hormel Foods Spirit of Excellence Award program recognizes the suppliers that truly go above and beyond in helping us achieve our goals,” said Tyler L. Hulsebus, director of purchasing at Hormel Foods, “We’re honored to partner with these outstanding suppliers.”

According to Hormel, these awards are given to suppliers that maintain a minimum supplier rating index score of 92 throughout a 12-month period. Award criteria include meeting performance requirements, making on-time deliveries, and providing high-level customer support.

“We are honored both to be a recipient of the Spirit of Excellence Award, and that Hormel’s team took the time to tour our facility and present the award in person,” said Joe Mandato, Senior Vice President of Refrigeration, EVAPCO. “We take pride in providing the highest quality products with on time shipments, and in knowing that we contribute to our customer’s success.
